Coal and Mineral Sampling System

Coal and Mineral Sampling System

Individual samples are obtained thanks to the sampler rotating on the running belt. The sampling machine is installed on the conveyor belt frame. The sampling bucket cuts the coal flow across its entire width at a constant speed in accordance with the relevant ISO regulations. The bucket rotates once for sampling. The movement of the sampling bucket is provided by electrical energy. The sampling device is protected against getting stuck in the coal flow, and in the event of a possible error, belt operation is stopped to prevent damage to the technology. The sample taken continues to move towards the stacking conveyor belt in the bucket carrier and the sample is fed to the grinding machine to be shredded. The fragment size of the crushed sample is between 0 and 3 mm. The shredded sample is fed to the rotating separator and enters the 4-bucket rotating system with the final samples. If the sampling device is equipped with an Enelex ash meter, the remaining part of the sample after the separator comes to the moving bowls marked on the rapid analysis belt. Once the ash content is determined, the coal returns to the main conveyor belt. The sampling process is started with a timer. The minimum interval that the sampling timer can be set is 5 minutes. The timer is set according to customer requirements.

The sampling station is equipped with a control box containing power circuits and logic control. The box is installed next to the sampler, has an IP54 protection level and is equipped with circuit breaker current switches, main power switch and connection terminals. It also features total-stop control circuits, a control panel with user interface, and operating needles for emergencies. The entire sampling station is PLC controlled and has a control system connection option (RS-422/485 serial interface).
